MASK PATTERN

MASK INSTRUCTIONS

Materials:

1-yard cotton fabric

10 yard 1/4 inch wide elastic

Thread to match

Sewing Machine

Step 1: Print Pattern above and cut out.

 

 

 

 

 

Step 2: Pin pattern to fabric and cut out the fabric pieces  (4 pieces per mask).

 

 

 

Step 3: Pin two pieces right side together and sew along curve about 1/8 seam allowance. Repeat with another set. 

Step 4: Unfold so that the sewn curve is in the middle. Pin two sets right side together and sew along the long sides allow about 1/8 seam allowance. 

Step 5: Turn inside out. Tuck short sides in at about 5/8 seam allowance and iron.

Step 6: Cut about 11 inches of elastic.

Step 7: Place elastic in the tucked seam about 5/8 inches deep. Sew a 3/8 seam allowance and then again at 1/8 seam allowance.

 

Step 8: Trim threads

 

 

 

 

 

Step 9: Donate!

Helpful tips: If elastic on your mask is too long for your face tie knots to fit.
